Eugène Delacroix exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Eugène Delacroix exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Very happy about the upcoming Eugène Delacroix exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum. Delacroix | The Metropolitan Museum of Art I read his journal when I was in my 20’s. I’ve always admired his work and felt a kinship as an artist. The painting below is titled Christ […]
68th and Lexington
I did this drawing a few weeks ago waiting to meet a friend at the corner of 68th and Lexington. It was a bit cold out but I enjoyed drawing in the middle of the day in the middle of the city (by Hunter College).

Recently I’ve begun in the figure drawing class to experiment with “troix crayons.” This is a drawing of Lex done with red, black and white which I did earlier this evening. After doing an […]

But some of them turn out really well and leave me with a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment; those are the exception rather than the rule. Also I deceive myself by believing I’m sketching incognito, unnoticed as […]
Second week with Lex
I did this drawing this the past Friday. I’ve continued working with charcoal and believe I’m making progress with it.
