Making a Wash
I teach watercolor to artists at all levels from absolute beginner to very advanced artists. And I find this very satisfying, but I particularly like helping new artists and it gives great joy to see students work hard and improve, develop and get better, and often in a shorter amount of time than you might expect. So I’ve been asked to lead a small workshop for my church for learning watercolor, starting from scratch. I created a small html presentation, after the first page, just click on the image, and this well take you to the next page in the presentation. Learning to lay down a wash is the first thing to practice and then we move on to doing a picture of a cube. Yes, we jump right into creating the illusion of 3-dimensional form on a 2-dimensional surface. Some perspective is gone over to aid in creating a cube. Enjoy!
